Nitescence

Digital photographs - 29,7 x 21 cm each - 2018

These six photographs at first glance identical by their framing present the image of a material similar to the bark of a tree. Like a fulgurance, Nitescence is the result of a luminous radiation. Projected on the surface of an exoderm, the external membrane of a living element, this glow reveals colored nuances by reflections on the matter. We could believe in a colored addition or in the saturation of the image via a software of retouching, but it is only a phenomenon of projection, intervened by chance at a given moment. Photography has allowed the capture of this furtive moment.
